Pastor Dr. Keith B. McGee


Pastor Dr. Keith B. McGee is a native of Chicago, IL where he is currently The Pastor of The Messiah Temple M. B. Church on the south side of the city. He became the second historic pastor in the year 2003, as he succeeded the founder and former pastor Rev. Dr. B. S. Saulsby. Under his innovative leadership, Messiah Temple is experiencing powerful worship, rapid growth, newly renovated facilities, streamlined operations practices, spiritual and social development. Rev. McGee has been faithfully active in the gospel ministry since 1993.

Rev. McGee, an ordained minister, is an alumnus of The Chicago Baptist Institute where he received his Bachelor of Theology. After completion of his undergraduate studies, he was requested to become an instructor by both faculty members and the Dean of Academics of C. B. I. Always seeking to grow in the grace and knowledge of God, Rev. McGee had a burning desire to begin his graduate studies, which he has successfully completed and has earned both an Master’s of Divinity degree as well as a Doctor of Theology degree from Master’s International Graduate School of Divinity School in Evansville Indiana. By Him who makes all things possible Pastor McGee has also earned many other citations and certifications through various Christian and secular organizations as well as the respect of clergy members, elected officials, business and community leaders throughout “Chicago Land”.

The ministry God has given this young man has afforded him many opportunities to teach, preach and reach people all over the nation of the United States of America and abroad. Whether it is praise and worship, music ministry, Christian education, prison chaplaincy within Cook County or evangelizing the lost, Rev. McGee is dedicated to the cause of Christ and kingdom building. He is the Moderator of the Greater Shiloh District Association of Chicago and Vicinity. He as well serves as the President of The United Baptist State Convention of Illinois.

God made it possible for this leader to participate as a faculty member of The National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Congress of Christian Education in addition to serving as the former Chairman of the Illinois National Home Mission Board an Auxiliary to the National Baptist Convention of USA, Inc. He is married to the beautiful Tanga R. McGee; together they have two children, Essence Roshae, and Keith Blake II. He lives by the ideology to “seek knowledge to enhance opportunities, and seek opportunities to enhance knowledge”.
